Compensation, also known as direct compensation, usually provides monetary value to employees for their work and service.

Benefits, usually given as non-monetary reward, are indirect compensation.

Triachy Model

1. Adaptive Performance - ability of the individual to change his behavior to a new environment

2. Task Performance - job skills, task habit, ability to handle multiple task

3. Contextual Performance - activities that make individuals, teams and organization more effective and successful
